Legions of admirers have long considered Peter Schmidt's 44 "WO" (for Walkover) a hard-to-beat design when it comes to long-term, and long-range, bluewater sailing. Substantial interior volume and superb ventilation (19 opening ports and seven hatches) insure comfort underway or at anchor, and there's the added bonus of complete privacy in the aft cabin, which is separated from the main salon by the large cockpit.
