    1984 Custom built by Van Dam Gaff-rigged Ketch is a replica of the original sailing coaster vessels of the early 18th century.

    The hull is constructed of 3/4" Western Red Cedar longitudinal strips, one layer of 1/8" Cedar Diagonal, then the 3rd layer of 1/8" Honduras Mahogany 90 deg to the last layer. The first layer bonded to the framing and 2nd and 3rd boned to each other all using West System Epoxy. The final outside finish is 10oz cloth laminated with West Systems. The interior of the hull is saturated with the West Epoxy.

    The deck is constructed of two layers of marine plywood epoxy bonded and finished with 10oz cloth.

    Entering the cabin area, take note of the beautiful teak interior. Aft of the main salon and to starboard is the galley and a single berth with a settee to port. Forward of the port berth is the dinette area with a u-shaped sofa and a teak drop-leaf dining table with drawers at each end of the table. The u-shaped sofa can be used as an additional adult berth.

    To starboard from the dinette area are 2 additional berths. The lower berth pulls out and up to convert into a double, if desired.

    Forward on the dinette is an additional single berth with storage drawers below. Across from this berth to starboard is the nav station.

    The head is all the way forward of the main salon. In the head there is a SS sink, shower wand, shower sump pump and an electric toilet with holding tank, y-valve and macerator.
